This is a special introductory workshop where we will be working on a simple shaped serving bamboo board. We will provide 10 vibrant ocean mica powders to choose from to create an ocean scene as well as guide through the wave making magic.

Only for this class you can choose from:

• set of 4 bamboo coasters
• Round 12" bamboo board
• Small bamboo board 9 by 12
• Medium size bamboo board 11 by 15

You also have an option to make a second board in the class (your second board will be 9 by 12 small bamboo board).  It's a great option for this holiday season to make a gift for someone you love. The second board can not be shared with another person. Every participant should have a ticket with their main board.

We will have about 11 guests max for this class and we offer very special pricing starting at just $98 for participation.

Learn everything you need to start working with epoxy resin. We will help you to avoid most of the mistakes the beginners make and enjoy beautiful hand-made creation.

You will learn several techniques to create amazing mesmerizing pieces of functional art. A wide choice of different ocean color options will allow each participant to create unique pieces that reflect their personality and taste.

✨We will start with setting an intention for our boards so you can create not only beautiful but also a meaningful piece of art.

After that, our experienced art instructor will share with you all their secrets on how to work with epoxy resin, which pigments to choose from, and how to create beautiful ocean backgrounds and lacy waves.

We will be covering about one-third or maximum half of the board with epoxy, the other part will stay uncovered so you can use it to cut on it.

👩🏼‍🏫 Even if you don’t have any artistic skills or even maybe never created any art in your life, you can create a real masterpiece using our step-by-step guidance. And even skilled artists can learn something new.

We use ArtResin. It is non-toxic (when used as directed) epoxy so it's not bad for your health like other resins. No VOCs. No fumes. No solvents. Non-flammable. Non-hazardous. Conforms to ASTM D4236 (Safe for Home Use when used in a well-ventilated area). 

Program:

• Introduction to Art Resin. Mixing techniques and working with paints, micas and glitter.
• Safety rules and PPE.
• Preparation of the working place
• Creating an amazing ocean effect on the cutting board.

The workshop lasts for about 1.5-2 hr

Are there any age limitations?

Art resin workshops are initially created for adult attendees (18 years of age or older). Even though we only use non-toxic resin, it’s still a chemical. To participate in a workshop for an attendee, who is under the age of 18, please contact us. We allow teenagers 12+ y.o. with adult supervision (if adult and teen want to do the one project together there will be extra $35 fee in addition to the ticket of your choice) and signing a waiver.

What about safety equipment or clothing recommendations?

N-95 or KN-95 masks as well as aprons and gloves will be provided free of charge. You can bring safety glasses and your mask (minimum level of N-95 required). No loose clothing is recommended, and long hair is recommended to be tied back. No open-toed shoes.

Can I do another project at this workshop?

You can not change the technique we are teaching at this workshop and request another one, but you can request different sizes, shapes, or personalization elements. Such requests might result in additional charges.
